Jeff,
Yes, you will get a new case because the old case doesn't fit the
mPower and you will also get a new strap. And, on top of that
you will enjoy using the GPS a lot more without the wires if you
decide to go in that direction. I think if you purchase the
whole package including the GPS from Sendero, you will get two
cases and a total of three straps, but I am not sure if they do
tranplants.
Well, I just hope that you do decide to get an mPower and a
bluetooth receiver because it is so much easier and less wpes to
deal with and you also get an additional charger.

Hello All!
HEEEEELLLP! I lost the strap to my nice leather case. I really,
really
like and need it for my GPS. Humanware said they did not sell
strap straps
and that I have to buy the whole case. This is absurd.
Any advise, very please?
Also, I am considering trading my Classic for M-Power. Would
they give me a
new case and new strap?????
Thank you.
Jeff

Kevin;
I think you must be one in a very few who got more than one
strap. I got
only 1 in my clasic and also 1 with my transplant. Tina, Call
HW and see
if
they can sell you a new strap. If not, let me know, I have a
clasic case
I
could sell if they will not help you.

Tina,
If you are just looking for the straps, I am pretty sure that
the
box that you BN came with should have an extra straps, because
when I received my BN I got a total of three straps. So, I hope
that you are able to find the strap. And just FYI if you have a
mPower you won't need the velcro in orightder to use the GPS,
this only applies to the mPower model not the Clasiic.
I hope this helps you.

Joseph, do you know if it's possible to buy just tthe strap for
the bn case?
I broke mine and like all the velcro for someday whenever I get
GPS. just
wondered if i can get that alone or if not, i may have to look at
something
else and just deal with carrying GPS when i have it which won't
be right
away.

This is Joseph. Some laptop cases will not work with BN. There
is a range of
BN cases made by Executive Products and it is recommended by some
os us.

Hi Paul, you should be able to find a case at any
luggage shop. Look at the range of laptop cases.
I bought one by Carlton. It has straps inside
that prevents the mPower from sliding around.
There is more than enough room for a mPower and GPS charger in
the main
case.
The lid has eleven small pouches for storage
cards, cell phone, etc. There is a zippered
compartment on both the inside and outside of the lid.
The case is deep enough so the content of these don't press on
the mPower.
It is water resistant, has a rigid frame round
the sides, carry handle and strap and even comes with a lock.
It is light and cost £25.
It is ideal when using GPS since one can
partially open the lid to access the braille display.
This way the unit does not become as dirty as
when using it with the lid wide open.

Thank you Alex. No, the one you described is
similar to the one that is already on the
unit. I am looking for the bag that was talked
about last fall and it would hold 2 devices on
edge and there were 5 zippered pockets and 2
pockets that went down the full depth of the case.
Where did you see the case you describe?
Have a good day,
Paul

If I have the right case, it has:
* velcrow (?) pannels on each side, one mor access to the
on/off
switch and all that, and one for access to the PCMCIA slot.
* On BN models, holes in the front allow one to use the thumb
keys when the unit is in the case.
* A large pannel with a zipper pocket folds up the back, over
the
top, down over the thumb keys, and a bit under to fasten with
more velcrow. (This makes the pocket only good for media
cards
and other small and/or flat objects, as they press down on the
unit.)
* The back pannel of the flip up cover is also velcrow, so
that a
GPS pouch can be put on. It has holes cut in it for access to
the AC adapter port and serial port (classic), and the AC
adapter, serial, and both USB host ports (mPower).
Hope that was the right case.
Alex
