Well, one more download try with the mPower, just to see what happens. And,
this time, I'm starting off with 8024K program memory used and 5756K storage
memory used, and this after resets and deleting and all. But, I had a bit
of trouble getting connected to the file I was trying to download the first
time, got the cannot find server, and the program memory used changed to
8104K, while the storage memory used changed to 5784K.

I first went once again to the KS 7 download site and downloaded the FM
radio file with no problem, and showed 8116K program memory used and the
5784K storage memory used.

I then went to the Sendero Group downloads page and downloaded the BT
Keyboard GPS manual in MS Word format with no problem or error message,
showing 8196K program memory used and 6204 storage memory used. I then
downloaded the MS Word QWERTY keyboard GPS manual, got both the download
complete
and the unknown URL messages, and showed 8200K program memory used and 6600K
storage memory used.

I then had to use the enter with b, which took me back to the Sendero Group
home page. I then went back to their downloads page and downloaded the
MS Word Quick Reference guide Braille keyboard version for the GPS with no
problem
or error messages and showed 8176K program memory used and 6572K storage
memory used. I then downloaded the MS Word Quick Reference guide QWERTY
keyboard
version, got the download complete and unknown URL messages and showed 8176K
program memory used and 6596K storage memory used.

I then exited KeyWeb and went and looked at the files. The 4.22MB FM radio
file on the mPower did appear to be complete and played correctly. The BT
GPS commands 35.5KB on the mPower, did appear to be complete, as did the
31.5KB QT GPS command file. And, once again, the BT GPS 400.5KB manual file
would not open on the mPower, and neither did the QT GPS 397KB file.

Hi again Joseph,

Well, using the mPower, I decided to try the downloads on the HW page again,
this time starting with the larger files first.

Before the downloads, I started off with 7928K program memory used, 1416
storage memory used. I first downloaded the Bluetooth MP3 file with no
problem, having 7992K program memory used and 1416 storage memory used
after. I next downloaded the fractions file, and this time got the failed
to download file and the unknown URL messages. The program memory used
after was 8004K, while the storage memory used was 1764K.

I then went back to the KeySoft 7 download page, had to use the enter with b
to go back, and tried to download the introduction MP3 file, but got the
failed to download file message only. The program memory used was 8148K,
while the storage memory used after was 2172K. So, this time, without
having to try to refresh or use the go back function, I tried to download
the conclusion MP3, but the BN just kept beeping at me and gave me the 0%
complete message, doing so for a couple of minutes before I stopped it.
And, when I finally did stop it, the program memory used was 8164K, while
the storage memory used was still the 2172K. I had to do the enter with b
to go back after that, and then I tried to get back to the HW KeySoft 7
download page, but the BN still just beeped at me, but this time gave me the
100% complete message. So, I tried again to get to that download page, but
with the same beeping. Oh, the go back function always seemed to put me on
the HW home page.

Now, on my mPower, the introduction file, which seemed to only download in
part, gave a file size of 379.34KB, while the file size on my PC for that
file showed up as 536KB. The Bluetooth file on my mPower showed up as
2.86MB and played in its entirety and gave a file size of 2929KB on the PC.
The fractions file, which also stopped in the middle when played on the
mPower, gave a file size of 360KB on the mPower, while its file size on the
PC was 2480KB.

So, grin, I then went to the internet options and the downloads folder and
deleted/cleared everything and performed a reset and started this process
over again, this time starting out with 8008K program memory used and
1432K storage memory used. The 2.86MB Bluetooth file downloaded just fine,
and I showed 8024K program memory used after and the 1432K storage memory
used. I then went for the fractions file, and once again got the failed to
download and the unknown URL messages, and showed 8020K program memory used
and 1788K storage memory used.

Then, the enter with b took me back to the HW home page, so I went back to
the download of KS 7 page and tried to download the introduction file once
again and got the failure to download file message only, and showed 8152K
program memory used and 2200K storage memory used. I then tried the
introduction file again, and the BN just kept beeping at me and giving me
the 0% complete again so I stopped it with the space with e and showed 8156K
program memory used and the 2200K storage memory used. This time, the
introduction file on the mPower showed 383.63KB, the Bluetooth file showed
the 2.86MB and the fractions showed 368KB.

Vicky and others,
This is Joseph. I'm getting to the pattern here. Folks who had success in
downloading files were successful at files that were small in size, but were
not successful on files that has size that is larger than certain size. As
Vicky had mentioned, files that are larger than certain size failed to
download (and by the size of the file, the limit might be around 512 KB to
640 K). Another quesiton (sorry to bother you folks with a lots of
quesitons): what were the file sizes for files that had failed to download?
If possible post the size of the complete file versus the broken
(incomplete) file (most likely second or third file, or the file where you
have received the error message). Also, if the unknown URL message is also
given, it got something to do with the Internet Explorer. Again, I would
like to apologize if I have stirred controversy here. Thanks.

Well, for a different type of file to download, I went to the Sendero Group
webpage and then to their downloads page. There, I found some Microsoft
Word files to try downloading. And, for who knows what reason, maybe
because they were smaller files, I had better luck saving them. I'll give
the info for the mPower, but I had similar results with the PK, although the
program and storage memory amounts would of course be different.

This time, I started out with 7672K program memory used, and with 1332K
storage memory used. I first downloaded the GPS manual for the Braille
Keyboard with no problem, having 7728K program memory used and 1716K storage
memory used after it was done. I then downloaded the QWERTY version of the
GPS manual, but got both the download complete and unknown URL messages.
The program memory used was 7736K, while the storage memory used was 2112K.

Then, not being able to refresh the page, I did the enter with B to go back.
I then downloaded the Braille version of the Quick reference guide with no
problem, having 7792K program memory used and 2132K storage memory used. I
then downloaded the Quick Reference Guide QWERTY version; and, once again I
was told the download was complete, but got the unknown URL message as well.
The program memory used was 7800K, while the storage memory used was 2160K.

I finally used the enter with b again to go back and then find a couple more
files to download. I first downloaded the Version Updates Read.me file with
no problem, having 7812K program memory used after and 2212K storage memory
used. I then downloaded the Miniguide Quick Start Guide, got the download
complete, as well as the unknown URL messages, and had 7816K program memory
used and 2232K storage memory used.

I then went and looked at the six Word documents I had downloaded. And, the
two quick reference guides, meaning for the BT and QT GPS keystrokes, seemed
to be complete and all. But, as for the GPS manuals, well, they may very
well have been complete, as their sizes looked to be so; however, the
mPower, or the PK for that matter, wouldn't open them, gave me that message
about the WordPad converter and the file converter found that the input file
is not a valid Word 6.0/95/97 document, got that for both the BT and QT GPS
manuals, and the BN just beeped at me till I performed a reset. The updates
read.me file and the Miniguide quick start guide file looked to be complete
as well. These files ranged in size from the 22K Miniguide quick start file
to the 400.5K BT GPS manual.
