First, thanks much to Rhonda for reminding us what to do with our BN for the daylight savings time. For, well, seeing as the computer automatically changed the time, I was figuring that the BN would do so as well. And, of course that wasn't the case, although it was no problem to go into the utilities menu and take care of things.
But, on the VNBT running 6.11, the one that work purchased for me so I won't use it for email or internet or anything; but, the planner didn't seem to work for me this morning. Now, as some of you know from my messages to the list, I was up kind of late last night, but I don't think I would have slept through the alarm going off every five minutes. Actually, and I do kind of like this, I use the VN for a backup alarm to get me up on weekdays, and as the exclusive alarm to wake me up on the weekends, so I won't sleep all that time off from work away. And, it is quite a nice feature to be able to set the alarm for different times during the week, and then on the weekend, thus I have my alarm set to go off three hours later on Saturday and Sunday. But, it didn't seem to go off this morning, although it did tell me that I had missed an alarm when I went into the planner. Now, I'm in Indiana, and we just started observing daylight savings time again this year, or at least most of the state just started this again, anyway. So, I had changed my time zone from the Indiana one to the one for the US and Canada over a week ago and my alarm still went off just fine. But, when I changed the setting to show I was now in daylight savings time, then the alarm didn't seem to work this morning. Fortunately, I don't have many regular alarms set on the VN, as I usually just set and delete them real close to the time I actually need them, so I just reset the ones I did have. And, for that matter, I did a repair of my mPower and PK planners, just in case. But, I was wondering if anyone else had problems with their planner after the time change? ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
