Hi Rusty,
Singular doesn't exist in my area, nor does T-mobile. We have Verizon, All
Tell and a smaller cell company called Chinook Wireless, that's it! Verizon
has the air cards and thought that would be a better avenue to pursue since
Verizon has the air card technology available. It presently is double the
cost or close to it so may wait a while.

Hi Jim,
I can't speak to whether the cards work in the BN. My thought, however, is
that this isn't necessary if you've got a cell phone. Your phone could do
double duty.
There might be some slight speed differences; I suspect a dedicated card
would give higher speeds. The truth is that those speeds might not be
noticeable on the BN since much of what we download is pure text.
If you aren't downloading much media, mp3's ETC. the download amounts
might
not be too large.
Cingular's data charges are less expensive than others in my area.
Good luck!
Rusty

Subject: [Braillenote] Air Cards
Hello all,
I recently heard about air cards which are now available from a number of
cell phone carriers. They presently work in laptop computers and one can
go
on line through the wireless network they are connected to presently. The
down side to all of this is the cost per month for this service but it
could
go down perhaps. Might such cards be available for the M-power units or
must we still be concerned about software foreign to the Keysoft suite of
programs?
Thanks for any observations you might have on this.
