A reset won't do anything to your unit. in fact if you are having problems, a reset is the first thing you should do.

Subject: [Braillenote] did I do the right thing?

Last night I copied all my files from the computer the
braillenote using a thumb drive. On attempting to open a file I realized that it was password protected and bn could not open it. I turned it off and on again and it still beeped intermitently and I could not get it to the main menu and when I pressed help, it said opening file please wait. So I used my keys to press reset and that worked. I was wondering if that was ok to do, or is there another way to get out of a dialog when the bn is trying to open a password protected file. Thanks.
