No, Authentication isn't required for Bellsouth. Smtp server and pop servers are mail.bellsouth.net

"User Name" is the next field. Put the first part of your e-mail address in, up to the "at" part. Press Enter. 4. "Password" is the next field. If your password includes numbers, put them in lower case. Press Enter. 5. "Your name" is the next field, so put that in. Press Enter. 6. "Your e-mail address" is the next field, and the whole e-mail address is needed. If there are numbers, lower case numbers are required. Press Enter. 7. "pop server" add this entry and press Enter. 8. "Smtp server" put this in and press Enter. 9. "Smtp authentication required"? This is set to "no" but most ISP's require them. Press Y for yes and press Enter. 10. Press dot 2-6 chord (Escape) to add the record. (Connectivity Side) Press Options, C W. I would space down to scan for a connection. Press Enter. If you space, you should see a list of connections. When you see (number one), press Enter. Give it an entry name like wireless, or whatever you'll recognize. Your SSID will be configured, but if you don't like the name, you can call it SSIDSTACEY if you want. If you're not using a wep key, you can just escape, and you'll be asked if you want to add the record.
