Hello Martha,
First, if you would like to have your unit in grade 2 braille, go to the options menu, by pressing space with o from the main menu, and you will see all of the options there, when it says prefered reading grade, choose grade 2. Now, for the planner, you can just press enter when it says enter when it says this appointment overlaps. What I do when I am in a hurry, which is what I did today at the dentist office, is open the planner, type the date I want, and then I put in the time that they are giving me, and I escape out, it says schedule this appointment, and I say yes, then I go back to it later, and modify the appointment. Lastly, the editing of keyword, when you are at a point that you want to edit, you can use the cursor routing buttons to place your cursor there, and then if it is a bunch of text to delete, I block it with top and bottom markers, and then press the delete function in the block commands menu, Let us know how things are going, and when you are ready for more information.
Robert

Subject: [Braillenote] Happy I'm progressing

Hi!

My BrailleNote M-power with its braille keyboard is working
nicely.

However, I still struggle with a few things such as the planner,
and
editing in KeyWord. I got the braille display connected to the
computer
at work, and even though it comes across as grade one braille, I
don't
mind.

I haven't done any internet stuff yet, but I've got some pre-sets
on the
FM radio, and the sound is very nice. I recorded a couple small
memos,
because some information was coming at me fast, and I had to get
it
down.

About the planner: I was in a doctor's office this morning, and
he
wanted to see me in June. I got to the date, but found it a
little
tough to fill in all the details of the appointment at the time
because
I was taking up space at the counter. Is there a quicker way to
do
that? Also, I got into a situation with the planner where it said
that
the appointment overlapped my therapy appointment. I didn't know
what
to do then, so I let it go.

I find editing and modifying the appointments is quite a task.
I'm sure
I'll get used to it in time. I read the user's guide like crazy,
because I end up forgetting how to do something. Sometimes help
helps,
and sometimes it doesn't.

Well, enough of my chatter. Now I need to try to make the strap
a
little shorter so I can carry it better.
