When you go into support information mode and press the letter c, that
number will change all the time. I mean, for example, as you have your unit
turned on and unplugged, the value there will continue to drop as the
battery is discharging. Although I'm using the PC for this message, I have
my mPower sitting here, and the nominal available charge has dropped from
332 to 328 in the last couple of minutes. Further, in my case, I start
getting the battery low message when the nominal available charge gets close
to 120. Then, usually, the nominal available charge continues to decrease
but then
tends to stay at 107 for quite
some time without changing, meaning at least five minutes. Then, at that
point, I chicken out
there and plug in the unit. And, oh, my battery level is at eight percent
at this point, and has never gone below this eight percent unless the unit
has shut itself completely off. Now, if I'm using speech to continuously
read,
or have a wireless card plugged in, then the battery level and nominal
available charge tend to drop much
more quickly.

Hi List,

Thanks for the comments on this. When I go to support mode and
press C, my number is 349, so I'm a little concerned, but the
machine is working beautifully, so I'll just carry on for now.
I'm dreading the time of sending it in for a new battery. I'm
hopelessly addicted.

Rachael
