Hi Rhonda and list!
I finally found out what was happening with my address list.
Somehow, who knows how or when, my mPower bt decided that it should select the address list file in the windows folder instead of on the flash disk! When I sent an address on my email, it accessed some from the address list, but if I tried to look up a specific address on the email part where you can do that, or in the address list itself, it would tell me that the address couldn't be found in the address list. I was playing around going through all the different menus and found the set-up option in the address list. When I looked around in there, it told me that I have the address list bile in Windows selected! I tried selecting the address list file on the flash disk and bingo!!!
Now I think I'm back in business!

Richard, glad to have his list back again and still wondering how the heck my unit decided to use the Windows file

Hi Richard:

If you erased the address.cdb, you do lose your addresses. I'm
not sure what happened before that.

Subject: [Braillenote] weird address list behavior

Hi list and Humanware staff!
I hope this email will get to you, because my address list is
acting weird!
I went into it yesterday and found that all my addresses had
disappeared!
I could still add them, but all my addies were gone!
I tried doing a restore from a backup I had done on a usb drive
before all this happened, and still, no addresses.
I think they disappeared after I did a 4-5-6 reset. Anyway, I
tried erasing the CDB file from the address list and copying it
back from the windows on the ks disk but no go.
I then tried my restore again with no better results.
The addresses I added were still there, but not all the addresses
I had before.
Can someone help me out with this one?

Thanks for the help in advance,

Richard, not wanting to try and find all those old addresses
again!!!
