I would try lowering the volume 30 might be to high.

Hi folks!
I'm having problems getting my external mic jack to work.
I've set the record button to work, and I've set the defalt
input source
for the mic jack.
I set the recording volume to 30.
I'm getting just some noise.
The mic I'm using is the little gold mic from Giant Squid Audio.
The mic works in other devices.
Any thoughts? Am I missing something?
