Isn't he still able to download things that are consider "off-the-shelf" software, but they just won't mean anything--BrailleNote not accepting third-party application to be installed. He is still able to get these third-party software and send to or transfer them to his or a friends PC and install it.
Well, I just thought that I would imput on this thread.

Hello, Isaih:
What type of tutorials are you looking for?

As far as downloadable things, you can download books, and things like that. You cannot download off-the-shelf programs. What type of things are you looking to download?

Subject: [Braillenote] tutorials and downloading?

Hi list! It's been awhile since my last post, but I sure have
been learning allot from all of you that contribute to this list. To that end, I have two questions for you. Firstly, can someone tell me if there's any tutorials available for purchase on cassette or CD for the voicenote? Also, as far as downloading things to the voicenote, are there certain things that one should avoid trying to download to the unit? If you answer in the affirmative, will you please specify? Well, that's about all I have for now, and for those of you that were encouraging me to hang in there as far as my having to wait for my m power to make it home, I'm still waiting. I spoke to Humanware just a couple of days ago, and according to them, they expect to get a new shipment of machines in on Monday of next week. So I sincerely hope that this can only mean that I won't have to contend with this unnecessary waiting period much longer. Take care list; Isaih.
