Hello,
Yes, you can have your databases on any drive you wish.
What you want to do, is create a folder on whatever drive you
want, and move all of the files over, because when you create a
database, you will have two files, and you need to make sure you
grab both.
As for your second question, I don't know for sure, but I would
think that if you went to the options menu, and changed your
grade of braille to German, then when you are creating your
database, it would want the prefered grade of braille which in
this instance would be the German.
Good luck,
Robert

Subject: [Braillenote] Database Questions
Hi listers. I am compiling a database of German vocab for my own
personal use and have a couple of questions.
\
First, can databases be saved on alternate drives such as compact
flash
cards? This would make it possible for me to add more entries
than
perhaps if I kept it on my main drive.
Second, is it possible to set a default grade of Braille for each
field
so that in various fields, it stays in German grade 1 Braille and
in
others, goes back to grade 2? I find it tedious to have to keep
changing all the time.
I did check the manual when I first started compiling simple
databases
but am finding this one a bit more complicated. Some simple
instructions would be great if anyone has the time.
Really appreciate it. Have a great weekend.
Cheers!
Michele
