You know, maybe I slept through it, as I'm thinking some folks had no
problem using the Microsoft drivers.  But, as for discussions on the list, I
recall the one about installing the Belkin drivers rather than the Microsoft
ones, but not the other way around, info given in a review that can be found
at the following link, and search for the word license to get to the
appropriate place:

This is Jospeh. This issue has been discussed before. Are you using a Belkin
Bluetooth adapter? Make sure that the driver for that particular adapter is
turned off. For technical convenience, use Microsoft's own Bluetooth driver.
