Hi Sherry, all is proceeding as expected. For the circuit to accurately calibrate, the battery needs to be discharged, and then recharged perhaps more than once. The reason why the unit needs to be plugged in, is that we can then automate the process. Even though the unit is plugged in, the mains circuit is not used during the discharge process. It's then turned back on when the unit needs to recharge. So it's actually a step forward because it completely automates the process, it's just different from how we did it before. Basically all you have to do is leave the machine to do its thing.

Battery calibration again. But I haven't had to do this with the mPower till now, and I am utterly baffled. why does it have to be plugged in to discharge the battery? The manual says it will start chattering, but two hours since I started the supposed calibration process, it is still not chattering. Here's what I did after checking with the manual. 1. The unit was already fully charged, and I was going to discharge it the old way but got the error saying I had to plug it in. 2. I plugged it in, pressed an O chord for the options menu, I chord for the support mode then r to recalibrate. Is said I am discharging once then stopped. when I press space to check status, it says it's been charged since the time I started this and then says the I am discharging my battery message one more time and then stops. I am really confused about what it is supposed to be doing. Since I know this has been discussed tons of times, feel free to write me off list. My email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks.
