Stacey,
Yes, after you recharge your unit, the cycle count will continue to increase. I do not see any reason for wanting to reset this; it's like trying to reset the milage count on a car--it is meant to monitor how far you have gone or how many charges have you done as of current. In the situation of a car you would get a tune up every 15,000 miles or so, the same applies for the BrailleNote, and both units have a limit that is reasonable and meant to notify you to get a new car or a new battery. Once the battery counts nears 300, you should look into getting a replacement for your battery--its life will be up soon.
Hope this makes sense.
Kevin

Subject: [Braillenote] Clearing the battery cycle back to one on the mpower

Hi all,
My battery cycle is at 41. I'd like to be able to clear the cycle back to one. CAn this be done?If it can't be, could there be a way in afuture release of keysoft so that it could be?

On the classic this would happen when the battery was recalibrated. I have not had to recalibrate my battery yet because for the most part I run my battery flat.

If you plug your unit in each night then unplug it during the day, would the cycle go up each time you plugged it in?

Mine does this.

Any insight from humanware staff isgreatly appreciated.

Stacey
