Of course, I'm not Sarah, grin. But: Open ActiveSync, Hit alt t for tools, Hit o for options, You should then land on the sync options page, Hit control tab twice to get to the rules page, Tab to the file conversion conversion settings and press enter, You should then see the box to uncheck.
I personally, seeing as I want to be sure to be able to read Word files I transfer back and forth, leave this box checked with no problem.
