Hello,
I have a guide dog, and I use the braillenote and gps quite extensively. I would say that probably since your son already has a braillenote, that it might be best to go with the gps from Sendero. What you might want to do, is have someone come and demo both the gps for the braillenote, as well as the Treker, and then your son could make a decision. As others have said, the gps should only be used to enhance the mobility, and not to replace the dog, so once you get the gps, it is a good idea to play with it, in the house in virtual mode, and even go out in the backyard if possible, and get used to it, then your son will be better acquainted with it when traveling with gps and the dog.
Good luck,
Robert

Subject: [Braillenote] GPS

I hope this is not considered off-topic. Our 13 year old son
uses his
mpower non-stop for almost everything he does. We are
considering getting him a
GPS unit. Can anyone give me some advice or experiences between
the
braillenote device and the trekker? He has read about both of
them. He does use a
guide dog if that makes any difference. Thanks
Wendy
