First of all, could someone please send me Jonathan's comments on this
string privately. I am sorry that I did not see it due to an overload of
E-mail this past weekend because of being away from it for a day.

Now, on to what Barb has stated in her post. I have said in the past that
I think that the FM radio, something I have not used, the memo recording
feature and the games are luxuries on the BN. Some of these could have been
put on as add-ons which users could purchase. The TDD capability is
important for deaf-blind users as well as blind users who must be able to
access a TDD for whatever reason, usually work. As has been stated on this
list, there is another company which has done work in this area and
Humanware is behind on this one.

With regard to the instructions, I never do an installation on my own. I
have my husband help me with it since he is much better with technology than
I am. While I only have a mild to moderate hearing loss and my husband has
normal hearing, it still would be better for all who use a Braille display
to know what they should be seeing on such display when they are doing an
installation. In other words, that suggestion benefits more than just the
deaf-blind community.

Barb, your question regarding beta testers is a good one as far as I can
tell. Keep in mind that I do not know a lot, if anything, about how beta
testers are selected for anything.

Peter, thank you for your support on these issues. It is nice to know that
we have some support out there.

Barb, while I have residual hearing, I do support those who do not . You
spoke about the memo recording feature. I have tried to record with this
and found the recording quallity is not good at all, especially considering
that I have a hearing loss. This is a feature I most likely will not use
and could do without.

I would need to see Jonathan's post before commenting any further.

Take care. Barb, if you would like to contact me privately, my E-mail
address is in my signature line at the bottom of this message.

Thanks you all for listening.
