Sarah,

It was worth re-joining the BrailleNote list just to get in touch with you and
Richard again.

I actually wanted someone to do something very specific for me, which could
take one or two months, depending on what time they feel they have to give to
it. If I just tell you what I am looking for, perhaps you can choose which,
or how much, or how little, you and Richard between you feel that you can help.

Firstly, I wish to forage in the April BrailleNote Archives for as much
material about Dean Jackson as can be found there, starting, I think, on the
12th of April, the day after he died.

Next, I would like someone to do the same thing on Jonathan Mosen's website:
www.themosenexplosion.com or something like that. Apparently, you have to
look at the links called "50 Previous Entries" until you are brought to round
about the 12th of April. I know that Jonathan has written about something
that happened at Dean's funeral, which was most unfortunate.

And lastly, I would appreciate it no end if someone could send the radio
programme on the Jonathan Mosen website called "Tribute to Dean Jackson", in
the form of a few small mp3 files that my KeySoft version 6.11 can manage. At
the moment, I have 30 mb free in the BrailleNote, but have two flashcards on
which to store these files.

Now, Sarah, I shan't be offended if you can't manage any of this, and, if you
can, I'm prepared to wait months for it.

I'll just say that, in case you never contacted him, Dean Jackson was
everything that has been said and written about him. If it hadn't been for
him, I'd have chucked my BrailleNote out of the window a long time ago.

Since most of the postings on the BrailleNote list are irrelevant to me, and I
can't access the BrailleNote archive, I intend to leave the list as soon as
possible.

We both are well enough here in a very rainy period, and Dean's is the fourth
death we have heard of directly, including one relative, since January. We
are also being plagued by a series of anonymous notes, and the police and other
authorities are not prepared to help track down the perpetrators.

It wouldn't be me not to leave you without a joke, so here goes.

A man bought two dogs, and when his friend asked him what he had decided to
call them, he said "Rolex and Timex." "What stupid names for dogs," said his
friend. "No, not at all," he replied. "You see, they're watchdogs."

Warm regards, and looking forward to hearing from you.

Jim Taylor.
