Very well said, Malaina!
If people just want speach, there is the Voice Note. If they just want braille,
they can turn speach off on the BN and everyone else has a choice. I, myself,
love it, because I can be read to when I want and I can be quiet and do the
reading when ever I want. No one can say my partner is disterbing.
I say, there should be no complaints, just turn off what you do not want to use
at that time. What can be any easier than that.
Humanware did a lot of planning and thinking of our needs when the BN was
created and I sure thank them.
I love my MPower!

I am still trying to get caught up on things and may be this isn't the
thread to post this on but here goes. Some people are talking about how the
brailleNote should focus more on Braille and leave the audible features for
the voiceNote or other products, personally and that is all our comments are
is that I use both braille and speech on my BN. I know some cannot or chose
not to but speaking from a vantage point of someone who has been blind most
but not all of her life, my braille skills are not as good as someone who
used braille all their life. For many things I would prefer braille but I
just can't read it fast enough for like say school. I love the bn though
because not only can I turn the speech off in class, but I can see what I am
typing. I guess what I am saying and perhaps I am wrong, I feel as if there
is to much slamming on the list at times for those who use certain features
that other don't like or appreciate. I have friends also who are both
visually and hearing impaired so I can appreciate what those of you who are
deafblind would like and can't use on the bn. I hope this was not out of
place but I think we need to respect the choice of the bn user for what they
use on their unit and respect the choices Humanware makes to provide for us
as a consumer. Finally, I ask that if anyone has a problem with what I have
posted then please email me privately so that it is not on the list.

Thanks,
Malaina
