Hi,
I have some technical questions that I have been pondering for a
long time now. It just never occurred to me to ask on the list.
1. Why does the /keysoft system disk/windows folder hold so many
files such as .bmp files, .ini files, .lnk files, and so on?
KeySoft does not even recognize images or link files.
2. I replaced the progress and error tones (Keysoft CLICK.wav
and Keysoft ERROR.wav) in the way discussed a few days ago:
rename a nifferent file to that name and put it in the windows
folder on the flash disk. Now the KeySoft Systemdisk/windows
folder has my new sounds in it, but the tones have not changed.
What happened?
3. What is "WrpButton.dll" do? "RecordButton.dll" is, I suspect,
for controling the new record button, but what other new button
is there?
4. Drivers that do not require user interaction can be
"installed", so is it possible to use WIFI SD cards if the
drivers are there, or is some control dll or something needed to
let the SD slot communicate with the WIFI programs?
5. I got KeyMail set up to use a KeyBase file, and it actually
inserted the email address of the person I selected. Why can't
KeyMail just fully accept it, and allow me to type in a name
without having to look it up?
6. I know I have said it before, but I'll say it again: KeySoft
SDK? Please?????? <smile> Applications like IM, bass boosting,
and modifications to already-in-use apps (like putting printing
inside documents) could be done with a manual on how to code for
KeySoft and the program to compile and build the actual program.
7. What happens if I use Application Program to run things on
the /keysoft system disk/windows such as: "cmd.exe",
"KSWMedia.exe", "KeyAlarm.exe", and so on? Would cmd put KeySoft
into a Dos version, or ruin the machine? I am really tempted to
try.
Thanks for reading, and for any answers I may get.
Alex
