Hi KC:

I know that the discussion is on using BN in hot weather but I wanted to say something about your message. I was a little surprise at your statement that it never goes above 100. I used to live in Stockton, 40 miles sough of Sacramento, where you currently live for five years. There were many summer days with temperatures hovering over 100. Being from the East, it sure felt like being in the 80-degree surroundings... very delightfully dry there.

So, if I had my BN back in the '70's, I don't think it'd be so much a effected as being in 80 degree area with high humidity.

Hi Terri,

I livein California and it can go up above 90 here and often over 100. I don't like to risk my BN.

My mailbox is at the endofmy driveway. Ileave books for returnin to the LIbrary down there and the Mail carrier picks themup. (I'm told they do it for anyone who asks.) Of course, I only take a few out at a time, so it is not a big deal. In any case, itismy choice.

As Ann has ointedout, many, especailllly in the deaf-blind community, do ot have Notetakers for reading books. In fact, I asked Mr. Clyke at a COnventon last year about the possiblity of NLS providing something. The answer ws somethingl ike: "Maybe some day down the raod."
