The Braille Sense supports Daisy Player also, so it would be a good idea for HumanWare to get support for the BN.
Did you hear something? think I hear a voice from the past reminding us to stay with the topic of the BN. Terri, Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA. A certain competitor of the BN, : whose dreaded name I won't mention, has supported Audible for some time. : That device also supports DAISY files, including those from Bookshare. Lack : of support for these features could conceivably cut into HW's market. When : I was selecting my device, I disliked some of the other traits of : That-Device-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named, especially the way the hookup between : the removable Braille display and the unit itself looked like a big, bad : accident waiting to happen. I certainly don't regret my choice of BN, but : many users might select one of the devices that supports the media types : that most hearing blind people want to use. : ----- Original Message ----- : From: "denise avant" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "'Braillenote List'" <[email protected]> : Sent: Friday, May 12, 2006 7:36 AM : Subject: RE: [Braillenote] reading books : : : > Hello ann, : > Overdrive media uses windows media player for its support in playing : > audio books.
