Hi Terry:
Yes, there can be confusion on this subject of backing things
up. If something like a database as been backed up, for
instance, any file with the cdb extension, it cannot be read. It
is utilized for being once again put on a unit. That particular
file can be seen from the "file directory", so that you know it
is saved, but cannot be read.
If you are talking about other information, such as files you
can now read, that you have created, yes, they can be read.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Back Up Files
Rhonda;
Give me a call when you can. I want to discuss this matter in
more detail. What is the point of backing up your unit if you
can not access what you put on the cf card. This sounds fishy.
You should be able to access anything you put on a cf card or
there is no point of putting it there in the first place.
I hope you are trying to say it can be read but not edited.
There is a big difference between not being able to edit and not
accessable.
Please write or call and clear things up.
When Roger made a copy of my files on one of the stamp sized
cards, they have to be accessable or they could not be put on my
machine if it ever crashed. They would have no value.
