Tom,
your comments about the id and password are interesting.
I just tried logging into web braille using an incorrect userid
and password to see what would happen. The system wouldn't let
me in.
I then logged in using my assigned id and password and it did
accept that.
Interesting that it's notice states that it is for all to read.
I guess all means only those who have logged in successfully.
Very strange, but guess that's what happens when trying to
approach something logically that isn't logical at all.
I just retired as a computer programmer in the private sector and
we would have been let right out the door if we'd tried stuff
like they are doing.

Hi,
Joseph, or perhaps Jospeh, wrote:
Dear BN listers,
This is Jospeh. I've just received an email from Web-Braille
that they
will
reactivate my account within 24 hours. That means that the
Web-Braille is
back! Thanks for your advocacy efforts. On behalf of our fellow
BrailleNote
users, I would like to thank you all for showing to the
Web-Braille staff
that we need this service back as soon as possible. I know that
many
people,
inclduing myself, read NLS books on your BrailleNotes. Good
Luck.
P.S. You should have now received a message from NLS stating
that your
account will be activated within a day.
Very interesting. I've had no trouble logging into Web Braille
with my
current user name and password, but I still see the notice of
unavailability
after logging in. I'm really curious about whether the Web
Braille site will
have changed much once it is reinstated, so I check the site
every day to
see what's up, or not, as the case may be.
By the way, is it Joseph or Jospeh? I'm curious about that, too.
Cheers!
Tom
