This is Jospeh. There is a way to register .brf files as braille file.
1. On the PC, go to Control Panel. Select Folder Options.
2. At the file types page, select new. A description box appears.
3. At the box, type a logical description of .brf file e.g. braille
document.
4. At the extension edit field, type brf. You are done.
5. Then, select the file type again and associate it with a program (if you
have Duxbury, Openbook, or Kurtzweil, you can associate the file type with
these pfograms. If you don't you can associate it with notepad.).
