Hi John,

One important setting to check, when setting up a BN/VN with Earthlink, is the 
user name field.  This needs to contain the full Email address, not just the 
user ID.  For instance, I had to fill in the user name with:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I had previously only put "skhye" in the field, I got the same errors you 
have mentioned.

     Thank you kindly for all of your suggestions.  She is still not  
connecting with an authentication error, which I know is because of  
some setting I'm not relaying properly to her.  Could anyone write me  
off list so I can get you in touch with the person needing the help.   
She has already expressed a desire to speak to another BN user who  
uses Earthlink.
