Alison,
This is Jospeh. I'm a student myself. The Service Reset, technically known
as Engineer's Reset, should be performed as last resort. It can be performed
by holding down Reset and Record button at the same time. After you do this,
you need to reset the time/date, time zone, and so forth. I hope this
informaiton may help you.

A student of mine has had this same problem quite a few times. It requires a
reset with the reset button. Is a service reset different? If not, does the
service reset fix the problem permanently?
Thanks,
Alison
