Yes, that's valid, but also, you won't learn anything if you don't try. HumanWare cannot possibly test every single kind of external device out there. Some of the knowledge on what works and doesn't is going to come from consumers who are willing to bite the bullet and learn from their experieness by buying drives that may not have been tested yet and seeing how well they work over time.

 Is anyone concerned that all of these thumb drives and external
devices could crash the Mpower? Frankly, my Husband and I have
been shying away from anything but the 1ongb Cf card and Sd card.
Is there proof that these devices won't corrupt your unit?
 You may want to think before buying and trying!!
