Hi Sshaz,
I hope you won't mind my saying so, but we are speaking of two
different things.
"Read Time Captioning" is what a deaf- or deaf-blind person often
uses to follow speech in a clasroom or at a meeting.
Jonathan doesn't need it, but does have knowledge regarding the
components I use with my M-Power. In fact, so do Kim casey and
Mike May from Sendero Group.. Kim and Mike worked with me to set
up the system I use.
Fora Captionist to hook up her machine would involve installing
software into the BN. When, employedI used an 40-cell ABT
interfaced with the Captionist's laptop. I did't own a Bn then.
We used a cable to interface the laptop to the braille display.
However, the material was typed into a modified file in
Wordperfect 5.1.
In actual fact, rhonda, this is an option, if your deaf-blind
friend has a laptop and braille display with which to read it.
A typist could enter the meeting/class material into a MS-Word
file, that could be kept and reviewed.
(Sorry, I didn't mean to take up so much time, but this is
important to somoene out there and I really want to help Rhonda
if I can.)
God bless,
Kc
