The answer to your first question is that when you do a search it will
find any bluetooth device supported or not.

Subject: [Braillenote] more bluetooth questions

Hello list. I have a few more questions about using bluetooth.
Firstly, when I go to the options menu and I select bluetooth and I'm
asked if I want to search for bluetooth devices, does this mean that my
computer is only searching for devices that I might have near me at the
time, or is the machine capable of detecting any bluetooth capable
device near it at the time? That is, can anyone with a bluetooth
enabled phone be near me when I'm using my m power and have their phone
detected as a device I could use to connect to the internet with?
Forgive me if any of this sounds a bit ridiculous, but all of this is so
new to me, and I'm just trying to learn as much about it as I can. My
other question is, can we use the m power units to send messages back
and fourth via bluetooth with other m power users that are in close
enough proximity? I was told that this was possible, but I thought I
had better ask to make sure. Yes, I was told that if we wanted to, we
could beam little messages back and fourth if we were close enough to do
it. I was also led to believe that we could also share files in this
way. I invite anyone out here that cares to clarify any of this for me
to do so. Again I apologize if this line of questioning seems kind of
off, but I really appreciate having such a knowledgable group of people
to bounce my questions off of. Thanks for all your help. Isaih
