Hi Kathy, Terry and List,

I've learned today that you can get the Verizon Infrared service and Nokia phone at CIrcuit CIty If you sign up for one year's service, the phone is $150, if you sign up for two years, the phone cost $100. (I think Kathy, you have the NOkia 6236I. The 6256I also works with the M-Power, or that is what I was told.) I don't know what exactly Kathy has for service that costs $70. However, I ws told that you can get the Infrared service for $50 a month.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] cell phone internet access

Terry,
I'm definitely no expert on cell phones but I did encounter difficulty trying to use a bluetooth phone with the mPower. Since I'm not working, am not on the move for a job, and so forth, I use an infrared phone with the mPower, and it works just fine for me. It's pretty easy to line it up with the infrared port on the rear of the mPower, and I can access email or internet fine. The speed of access is not what bluetooth would be, but as I say, it's not job related work, it's just fun for the most part, so the speed is acceptable. The phone was around $100 after the rebate, and there's no extra monthly charge. I just use my current earthlink dial up. With two phones on Verizon we pay around $83 a month which includes tax. It's $70 without tax.
I hope this helps you out, Terry.
Please ask more questions whenever, and I'll be glad to help as I can.
Kathy
