Hello,
I just checked and this printer is compatible with the mpower, so I would try doing a reset with the printer disconnected, and then turn off the braillenote and also the printer, plug the printer in and then turn it on, then turn on the braillenote. If this doesn't work, I would suggest calling tech support tomorrow.

Subject: re: [Braillenote] printer question

Hello Robert! I'm using an epson c 86 printer, and it's a USB
type printer. I think I should mention here that I also have the
voicenote classic, and whenever I would attempt to do the print
command, if the device wasn't connected at the time, I would get
the message: the printer is out of paper. Again, I would get
this message even if the printer wasn't connected to the machine.
So, I tried this with the voicenote m power, and all I get back
is the message I posted previously. Is this a message that I
should expect to get if the printer is for some reason not
connected to the m power? Thanks! Isaih

Hello,
What kind of printer are you using. If you are using one, that
is not supported by the braillenote you could be getting this
message for this reason.
Also, if you have not selected the proper drivers for your
printer this may be the reason.
Lastly, I have a hp printer, that is quite old, so I purchased a
parallel to usb cable for it, and in order to get rid of this
message that you are experiencing, I have to turn off the
printer, turn off the braillenote, plug the usb cable into the
braillenote, then turn on the printer and then the braillenote
and everything works fine from there.
I hope this helps you.
Robert

Hi there Jose, thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
Currently it is set to print from the USB port. Is there
something else that I should be doing? Also, is this a problem
that can be easily addressed? Please write back when you can.

Hello; Issaih, This happens to me a lot. That means that you
probably have it on another port either the infrared or parallel.
Which one are you using? If you are using the parallel it means
that the BrailleNote is set to infrared. Please write back.

Subject: [Braillenote] printer question

Hello listers. Whenever I attempt to print a document, I receive
the following message: the specified network resource or device
is not available. What does this mean, and how can I correct it?
This just started happening recently, and I'm not sure what I may
have done to inadvertently cause this to occur. Any and all help
is appreciated. Isaih
