Hi, KC! Or you can send me the attachment, and I'd be happy to convert it into a text file I can just mail back to you, if you can't get pdf2txt to work for you. I would be curious to know if that service does work, anyhow. Several years ago when I tried to send something there, they must have just been starting that service because I kept getting back some message about it not being able to convert my file at that particular time. So, it should be no big deal to simply convert your file from pdf to text. My email address is:

Dear KC,

You can email the file as an attachment to [EMAIL PROTECTED] if the
conversion works, you will receive a converted file back. If it doesn't
work, then you'll have to adopt more drastic measures.

If you have a good friend or family member who has Adobe reader in their
PC, you could give them the file and ask them to print it for you. Then,
you could take the printed file and scan it. If you have a stand-alone
scanner you could scan the print into the scanner and transfer the text
from the scanner to the BN. If you don't have a stand-alone scanner, you
could ask that same friend who just might have a scanner to scan the
print
and give you the text file.

I have seen many posts on the Duxusers list complaining about the
difficulty of transcribing PDF files into braille. I'm not the only one
who hates Adobe.

Not all PDF files can convert to text so don't be surprised if
you
receive an
email back stating the file couldn't be converted.
