Hi Terri:
I have a label on my compact flash card. I can barely feel it
when it's in the BN. I only make it three letters long, and
center it right at the top. It doesn't touch anything that way.
By the way, not a dumb question.

Subject: [Braillenote] dumb question
I think I know the answer to this question, but ... It's not a
good idea
to put a braille label directly onto a CF card or SD card, right?
The
card wouldn't go into the BN and if it did, it probably wouldn't
be
recognized. Am I right?
In the old Keynote Companion days it was possible to label a disk
using
the KNC. It would be nice if the BN had that capability. Could
I label
the card using Windows XP and would the BN read the label when I
insert
the card into it?
