Yes, I am also having problems with my WD 80 GB drive on the MPower. My
drive isn't recognized any more for some reason. Folks from huminware
believe it's because I might have to many files on the drive. My wife also
uses the drive to backup her pictures. Has any one had problems with their
hard drives being recognized?

Subject: [Braillenote] USING THE 80 GB PASSPORT HARD DRIVE WITN BRAILLE
NOTE(REVISITED)
Hi all,
A little while back Robert discovered we couldn't record directly on to
this hard drive and I'm sure a number of us are sad about it. Today we
successfully copied 5 MB, very quickly, from an SD card running on the
mPower to the Passport, also attached. We were wondering if we could be
more adventurous here so chose a larger file for copying . . .. We left
things a good hour and concluded that it was too large so stopped, but
that was only our conclusion.
Jonathan, Andrew, anyone out there happen to know what the problems are
all about in using the Passport hard drive and what the limitation is in
copying from a 2 GB Flash card? Will any of these be fixed by a move to
Windows CE5, or whichever platform you choose to use next with the BN
family?
I was certainly hoping that our Passport would be a little more well used
than it can be at present because it's mainly only useful for storage of
music to be played but, realistically, with so many ways of listening to
music these days, we often don't need to do this, so any further
information you can give would be most welcome.
Thanks!
