Jane and others,
If you look closely at the zip file that is associated with the Keyboard
Emulator, you'll find some files, plus a zip file. Extract that zip file
onto the first zip file. Copy the filses (not the zip file) to:
(systemdrive)\Program Files\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\(version)
Whre systemdrive is the drive that Windows is installed e.g. C:. The version
refers to the version that you have. A typical example is:
C:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\7.0
Since someone already mentioned how to use the Keyboard emulator (from
beginning to end), I will not state it further (if you search the May or
June archive, you'll find it).

Subject: [Braillenote] help with the PC Keyboard Emulator

eryone.

I updated to JAWS 7.0 and I decided finally to give this keyboard emulator a
trry. But according to the instrucitons, there is a brlnote.zip file to
extract, but I don't see one. there's a brlnote.dll and a pidhooks.zip.
Have I got the wrong files? I couldn't find it on the web site for
download.

Anyone got ideas, or can walk me through installing the thing? I would love
to be able to play with it. Also, will it work on a laptop?

Jane
