Hi Donna,
No, no, no! I went to Web Braille this morning, and I was able to
download two volumes of a book without hitting any cancel button. I
didn't even see a cancel button. Here's what happened to me. I'm
using a BN Classic.
I found the book I wanted after much finnagling! This am gotta be
fixed folks, I had to finally do a 456 reset before the BrailleNote
would even go to the M page of the lists. I couldn't even get the
Braille Book Review to display at all.
OK, lemme see what happened. I clicked on the 'I agree' button and it
put me in a dialog. The BN wanted to know where I wanted this file
downloaded. So I told it, after some confusion. Then I gave my
volume a name other than the dingdong book number and hit enter. It
downloaded just fine. I listened to the BN and did what it said. Now
here's the interesting thing. The Braille didn't help at all here. I
didn't see a cancel button at all. . I think what you want instead
of a cancel button is the save button. There's an open, a save and a
cancel button, if the dialog in Braille follows the usual MSZIE
format. But I repeat, I didn't scroll through the Braille, instead I
listened to the BN and did the thing that way.
I downloaded two volumes just fine, used the enter-b command to go
back, worked like a charm. Then the BN started on the third and gave
a horrible death nell and quit! It went bong, and quit, froze solid.
I guess you could say it gave to me the Blue Screen.
So, I gave up and downloaded the third volume with the PC. I didn't
have any more time to futz with it. I'm going to try scrolling
through the Braille next test run, but I'm sure you don't hit the
cancel button, after all, cancel means quit. You don't want to do
that.
More anon,
Ann P.
