No, T and I is only for use in the manual application, accessed with space with o, then u. I usually use the application to narrow my search down to one chapter in particular, then open that chapter in the book reader and use space with f to find what I'm looking for.

So, when you bring up the book reader from the main menu, press backspace so that you are asked for the drive. Type "K" for Keysoft system disk. You will then be asked for the folder name and you will type "manual". Press enter. Press the space bar to get the list of user guide files, there is one file per chapter. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Powers, Terry (NIH/OD/DEAS) [E] Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 2:27 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] User Guide Richard; How do you bring up the manual in the book reader? One reason for this, is that when you use the user guide found on the options menu there is no find command. I encourage my students to use the Book Reader for that reason. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Philip Hall Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2006 6:50 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] User Guide Hi. I agree. the interface to the users manual needs a lot of work. for example, when in a list of topics int he table of contents or the index, you must move to the beginning or end of a list manually, dots 4-5-6 or 1-2-3 chord doesn't work. i have found it easier to read the manual using hte book reader, which also needs soem work. phil ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michele Thredgold" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 17, 2006 6:48 PM Subject: [Braillenote] User Guide > One thing I have noticed with the user guide is you cannot search > forward or back through it, and sometimes you have to go through > copious amounts of reading before you find the particular part of the > section you want.
