Dear Jonathan, The main thing I want is for the BN to be able to use printers that use both software and hardware. My Windows PC was out of commission for a week and I couldn't print anything.

When we asked those who responded, and were : actually capable of coding software, what they would likely develop, the : majority said they'd do games. An easier way to address this was to add : the games functionality which we did in version 7, so now blind people can : write interactive fiction. however, we will be working on an SDK in : conjunction with some of our partners, to assist them to add functionality : to the BrailleNote in the same way that Sendero has done with their : BrailleNote GPS package. At least in the immediate future, this will not : be available for general release, but it will speed up the roll-out of new : BrailleNote features. : : Jonathan Mosen : BrailleNote Product Marketing Manager : HumanWare : : DDI: +1-925-566-9265 : http://www.humanware.com : : : : "Richard Ring" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : Sent by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] : 22/06/2006 04:32 p.m. : Please respond to : Braillenote List <[email protected]> : : : To : "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> : cc : : Subject : RE: [Braillenote] a suggestion for a future release : : : : : : : Although the idea of third party software might well be intriguing, in : my opinion, what Humanware has to consider is this. What kind of demand : is there for an SDK? Are there developers out there who are clamoring : to create software for the BN line of products? I certainly don't have : the answer to that question. : Accordingly, is it therefore in the best interests of Humanware and its : customers to take development time to produce an SDK, or would that time : be better spent fine tuning and improving Keysoft. Again, I certainly : don't have the answers. I think at this point in time that Humanware : will have to weigh the costs and hopefully come up with a solution that : we all can live with. : -----Original Message----- : From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] : [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nicole : Torcolini : Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2006 3:13 PM : To: Braillenote List : Subject: Re: [Braillenote] a suggestion for a future release : : : Why doesn't the BrailleNote allow third party programs? I would suggest, instead of MSN, a : program such as Miranda IM that can log the user into MSN, AOL, : Yahoo, and all that at once, combining contacts from each service : into one list so the accounts appear as if Miranda were its own : account. This would be much more widely accessable. Instant : Messenger for BN would be an incredible addition, and (as : mentioned) a step forward in beating the Pac Mate. : Alex : : > ----- Original Message ----- : >From: "chaman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected] : >Date: Tue, 6 Jun 2006 22:44:54 +0100 : >Subject: [Braillenote] a suggestion for a future release : : >hello, : : >I just wanted to know that would it be possible to put the msn : messenger programme on the braille note?
