Well, the files were created not on a millennium, but on a pc.
There are some issues with files from BN and millennium, but mostly, I've learned to deal with those issues.

Check the command summary appendix for the correct command to
toggle this mode on and off.

I suppose it could be the BrailleNote doesn't like reading files
created on a Millennium but haven't personally tried this.
