Hello,
No, the mpower cannot handle word docs that are created from 2003
with tables.
You should open them on a pc and resave them as text files.
Also, send a copy of these to the worddoc at humanware. com
address so they can see the files and have them help work on a
future fix.

if we press space with h to get help, we are advised to press
enter.
if we do, the Mpower sits there beeping for ever.
what can we do?
isn't the Mpower supposed to handle MS word 2003 documents?
both documents have tables by the way.
