Hi Carol,
Hey, thanks for the o chord i chord p info. I hadn't known about
that and of course o chord p won't work for me now. I can live
with this the way it is for now then. Thanks.
Pam

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] how long should recalibration take?
Pam,
I take a guess that there are a few of us out there who don't
have a battery
gauge on the mPower. Well, my husband had two batteries and
neither would
calibrate then, mysteriously, after a few months it appeared to
calibrate
but some of the readings are lower than we'd expect and we've
just given up
on the importance of calibrating, at least as long as this
battery is to be
used. I suggest you may wish to do the same and use it as much
as you are
able; then, hopefully, there will be a better battery or you'll
at least
get a better one the next time around.
Believe me, we know the frustrations of this! <SMILE
BTW: At least you can check how much power it believes you have
with
O-chord, I-chord, P and we've found we have got used to the
battery's
behaviour, even if we have to watch it as it deteriorates.

I tried it again, and after 23 hours it said it was still in its
initial cycle, discharging. I have my doubts as to whether it
was even
discharging, so I stopped the process for fear of wearing it out
completely. But now I don't have a battery gauge.
