Greetings, everybody.
I have just received a file containing Braille music samples. When this file is read in six-dot mode, dots 4-5-6 (the underscore, or sign for third octave) are shown on the Braille display as a "for" sign plus a dot 7. When the same score is read in eight-dot mode, the underscore is shown as dots 4-5-6, but every capital letter is shown, naturally, by a dot seven, making fluent reading difficult. Firstly, has anyone thought to rectify the discrepancy in representing the underscore sign in six- and eight-dot modes, and, secondly, how could I rectify this problem in the short term? I should also appreciate help, off list, with connecting an infra red port of my mobile phone to the BrailleNote. I have set the BrailleNote's infra red to Hayes Compatible Infra Red, but I keep getting the message: "Authentication Error", as soon as I connect. Looking forward to hearing from some of you. Many thanks. Kind regards, Jim Taylor. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
