You shouldn't have a problem using a serial converter then I have done
so and it does work

You could use a serial USB adapter then the computer sees it as a stand
com port. I have several of them and they do work. The only question
might be what operating system on the old machine?

That's okay that you did not see (or hear) it. I figured it got
pushed aside with all the excitement about 7.2, but that's okay. The
problem is I'm trying to figur out how to connect a BN classic to a
computer that only has USB and wireless to do active sync. I'm thinking
about trying a USB to serial cable or something like that because you
have to have the original connection to set up the other types. It also
has an ethernet cable, but that does not help the problem any. Any
suggestions?

Thanks,
Nicole

Excuse me, but did anyone read my email asking about active sync?
