Here's how to do it: Step 1. Create a blank Keyword text document and name it something you will remember. Step 2. Access the unicode character tables by pressing function with x on a QT keyboard and backspace with dots 3-5 on a bt keyboard. Step 3. The underscore or underline sign is not listed under either description. Instead, search for the unicode character called "low line" by typing the words low line without quotes. Then press enter. You will see the character appear in your blank document. It will appear in computer braille either as a blank cell or, when the cursor is on it computer dollar sign ch followed by the words low line followed by another computer braille dollar sign ch. You don't want to see it that way. Step 4. Enter the unicode tables again. Press the space bar so the words low line character will appear but don't press enter! Instead, press control with d or space with d. You will see, "low line appears as nothing. option?" Step 5. Press the letter a to assign a dot pattern to the character. Step 6. At this point, the home row QT keyboard will become a braille style keyboard so press dots 4,5,6 the jkl keys. Step 7. Type the letter y to confirm you want to assign these dots to the unicode character. Step 8. Exit the unicode tables to get back to your document. Step 9. A computer braille table has automatically been created in the dictionaries folder on the flash disk called "custom USA." Now, go to the options menu, braille display options, find the option called "computer braille table" and cycle through the choices until you come to "custom USA" and press enter. The custom USA table will now be your default computer braille table. Step 10. When you go back to your document, and put your cursor on the unicode character, you will see dots 4,5,6.
