Hi, those instructions your were told about were probably for when using the drive with a computer. I have just been doing a course where we were told that before removing any u s b devices you need to go to the system tray and click on safely remove hardware, then choose to stop the device we were using then wait for the computer to tell us we can remove the drive. I assume the MPower doesn't have this sort of option so I say it is fine just to remove the drive. If you are using it on your computer at home at any time you might like to look into it just to be safe, not that you have to really worry because the chance of loosing things are small if you just pull it out when finished but the other way of safely removing it is wait till you have turned off the machine before unplugging because this way you make sure that the computer isn't trying to use the drive when you are disconnecting it.
Hope this answers your question. >From Shaz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "kathleen spear" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 07, 2006 9:17 AM Subject: Re: [Braillenote] using usb Western Digital Passport driveswiththe MPower Hello Don and thanks for your message. I hooked up the Western Digital Passport drive with no problem and moved files from another CF card. My question is, when disconnecting the Western Digitial drive, do I need to do anything differently than I do with any CF or mini-drive?
