OK on the BN not supporting USB Braille. GWMicro does give USB as an option
for it, but they say that's not their problem (smile).
Failing being able to get a USB-to-Serial adaptor before we go away in a few
days, I would appreciate some help setting up using the BN with my laptop
with BlueTooth. The devices see each other, I can pair, but I get a 'serial
port not available' message from the BN. I presume you have to use the
correct port as available on the Bluetooth services from the laptop but I
don't seem to get it to work. Any specifics welcomed...

Hi Nicole, I don't recall the question, however presently the
BrailleNote doesn't support using the USB port for Braille
displays.  You can however get USB to serial converters, or many
laptops now offer built-in bluetooth.  I use the Belkin USB to
serial adaptor which works really well for me.
