Hi Jonathan;
Is 7.01 optional or is it necessary for 7.2 to work. I have been at
convention and missed you and did not get to read your demo yet. I
asked where you were and also checked out the scan-r.
See you in Atlanta!

Hi Joseph and all. Firstly, I am only aware of one SAID card
error reported to this list regarding the 7.01 update. It may be
a hardware issue, it is difficult to say. However HumanWare
technical support will be happy to assist.

Regarding the steps to take for the 7.01 upgrade, and I am
talking specifically about BrailleNote and VoiceNote mPower, all
a current 7.0 user has to do is to copy the nk.bin file on to an
SAID card that is less than 512 MB and formatted in FAT 16. We
provide a utility to prepare the SAID card if the card is not
formatted for FAT 16. The only file that needs to be on this
card is nk.bin. Then perform a 4-5 or JK reset and the upgrade
begins automatically. No product key or boot loader is required
if you are already running 7.0. I can tell you I've done
hundreds of these with success every time.

Jonathan
