Cindy, if this person has Cable, they probably have wireless.
Probably not dial up, because most Broadband connections do not.
If you have a wireless card, you would be able to make a
connection by scanning for a connection. You would leave your
Directory of Accounts the same as you have them now. Then, you
would go to Connectivity, press W to turn wireless on. Press
Space to scan for a connection. Press Enter on that. Just give
that connection a name, and press Enter. Unless it's a secured
connection, you should be able to exit, and do fine.

I doubt he went with DSL. The area he lives in would be cheaper
to go with
cable. He is the only one using the connection so I do not know
if he will
have a router or not. This information will not be available
until I get
there. At which time it obviously will be too late.

Hello, Cindy:
If your friend has broadband, there is a DSL connection with a
router. Find out if there is a wireless connection, or if they
are using an ethernet connection. I assume there is no dial up
connection, since it is Broadband. I'll try to tell you more,
if
you have more information.

Subject: [Braillenote] Getting connected
I will be going to a friends house this weekend and am wondering
how I can
connect my BN to the internet. I know he has broadband as of
three weeks
ago. However, I do not know if he has a router or what his setup
is. What
are my options for getting connected?
Also, I do have a usb bluetooth adapter that I can take with me.
If I need
to use this option, how would I go about it?
TIA,
Cindy
